THE SEVEN CIRCLES FOUNDATION

After moving from Colorado to California at the very end of 1997, I set up housekeeping in the North Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. The ensuing years have been spent in either Sonoma or Napa counties. 

Following my Heart's Longing to continue my experiences and ceremonies in Native American Traditions, I was led to The Seven Circles Foundation headquartered in Marin County. On April 25, 1999 I attended my first Sacred Pipe Ceremony with them in Forest Knolls, CA. This was at the home of 7C's Director, Michael Stocker. 

This was the Sunday after the Columbine School Shootings near Denver, Colorado~~where I had lived for 35 of my 50 years in that state. All of the 25 to 30 people in attendance were deeply distraught over this tragedy, and the Talking Feather was passed around the Prayer Circle three times instead of the usual one time. As I accepted the Talking Feather for the third time, I suddenly received a VISION! 

I was so utterly astonished that I simply passed the Talking Feather on to the next person.  After it had passed around and back to our elder and  leader, Fred Wahpepah, I asked to hold the feather one more time. Then I spoke briefly about my Vision that I had just received. I saw myself dressed in golden deer leather fringed pants and a matching fringed long-sleeved shirt and sitting on a red horse (a mare) and pulling a travois or pony drag. My Siamese cat, Shaman, was in a basket on top of the travois, and my big white Standard Poodle, Wizard, was trotting alongside the red mare. The message was that I was to ride horseback in a huge clockwise circle around North America and to call it "The Sacred Hoop Journey". Its purpose was to mend the broken pieces of the Sacred Hoop and to help bring PEACE to the World. Nine days later I received more extensive information and details about how to perform the SHJ. In the ensuing twenty years, 1999 to 2019, these directions have not changed one Iota! My passion and dedication to Peace keep me keeping on!!!

Because of this deeply impactful and emotion packed Vision, the whole Purpose of my Life altered to focusing on this experience and to manifesting it in real time. I continued to participate in many, many ceremonies with Seven Circles through the years~~Sweat Lodges, Sacred Pipe Circles, and a traditional  four day Vision Quest in 2000. I also did another traditional four day Vision Quest  of primarily women with another group in 1999. 

Distance, weekend work and some serious illnesses along the way kept me out of their ceremonies for a lot of years. I tried other groups closer to me, but they did not resonate with me as much as 7C! I did keep in touch with Michael Stocker, the Director. To my great surprise and pleasure, in December 2018, after looking through my new Website on The Sacred Hoop Journey, Michael wrote to me with an offer to have Seven Circles Foundation as a 501c3 non-profit to fiscally sponsor my Visionary  business. Our official and legal paperwork should be completed about the end of September 2019. I am JOYED to be associated with an organization of high integrity and of such high standards!
