ABOUT MASTER-MIND GROUPS

MASTERMIND GROUPS

REACHING FOR THE STARS TOGETHER

The idea for MasterMind groups comes from a classic book entitled "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. If you have not read the book or had an experience with a MasterMind group, I suggest that you read the book. New or used copies can be purchased through amazon.com. Sign-up for either the local area near Napa, CA group or the virtual "Wherever You Live" group.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia   Jump to navigation Jump to search

A mastermind group is a peer-to-peer mentoring  concept used to help members solve their problems with input and advice  from the other group members. The concept was coined in 1925 by author  Napoleon Hill in his book The Law of Success,[1] and described in more detail in his 1937 book, Think and Grow Rich.[2]  In his books, Hill discussed the idea of the Master Mind, which  referred to two or more people coming together in harmony to solve  problems.[3]

Cooperation through the use of mastermind groups was one of the  laws of success that Hill learned studying successful Americans  including Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, Theodore Roosevelt, John D. Rockefeller, and Charles Schwab.[1]

Several companies offer mastermind group environments to members.[4]

There  are two types of mastermind groups: one is focused on an individual's  success, and the other is focused on the success of everyone in the  group.  Research suggests that optimal groups limit their size to 8 to  10 participants that meet regularly with rotating leadership.[5]

NOTE FROM KRYSTALARGO: In my own experience, the good energy generated by a MasterMind Group benefits BOTH THE INDIVIDUALS AND THE GROUP AS A WHOLE AT THE SAME TIME. MY FOCUS IS ON ACHIEVING RESULTS DESIRED AND REACHING SET PERSONAL GOALS FOR EVERYONE AS INDIVIDUALS AND PERHAPS WHAT I WOULD REGARD AS AN OVER-ARCHING GOAL FOR THE WHOLE GROUP-PEACE IN THE WHOLE WORLD!

GENERATING EXCITEMENT AND POWERFUL GROUP ENERGY TO HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS, DREAMS AND VISIONS

I first read "Think and Grow Rich" way back in my history in the 1980's when I was an Amway Distributor. In 1985, no longer in Amway, I elected to form two Mastermind Groups. One was composed of two other women and me; the other was composed of two young men (one was my boyfriend and the other was his cousin) and me. It so happened that the first focus of both groups was each person buying their first home.

Amazingly, within six weeks, we had made this dream come true for each of us. One woman bought hers alone, one woman was married and purchased a home with her husband and I ended up going together with my boyfriend and his cousin to purchase a large home. All this was in Denver, Colorado. This was very exciting for all of us. So next we tackled various dreams and goals that each of us had, and we met for a few years with many wonderful successes. Sometimes we added one or two other people to a group for a while.

I was so excited by these positive happenings that I wrote up a curriculum and began teaching MasterMinding through two of the adult education schools in Denver. Again we met with successes. Though, to my knowledge, none of us became a millionaire, there were many goals achieved and dreams fulfilled during those years! I don't think anyone ever actually had the goal of becoming a millionaire...probably why it didn't happen!

Curiously at the time I am talking about, starting these MasterMind groups, I was just a few weeks short of my 50th Birthday. All the other people were in their 20's. Nowadays, since I am in my 80's there would probably still be a large age gap between me and other members. I just don't find many, if any, people close to my age group who are still pursuing any Visions, Dreams or Goals. If there are some, I'd love to hear from them and to meet them!

HELPING YOU ACTUALLY REACH SOME OF THOSE "STARS" IN YOUR GOALS AND DREAMS

It is probable that we will use the tools offered with either SKYPE or ZOOM in order to have these "Wherever You Live" meetings of the minds. The somewhat local Napa, CA group will meet in person at times, but also use the above tools at times to get together virtually. Choices! I really love having choices in Life. Come join me in the adventures of the mind with a MasterMind Group.
