This alternative healing arts business was created in 1984 by Krystalargo de Lindachrist aka Linda Sue Russom Plant Powers after taking numerous classes and workshops. She was also a full time Dental Hygienist from 1970 to 1997. So from 1984 thru 1997 she ran both careers concurrently. The business encompassed many types of massage as in Deep Tissue, Swedish and Shiatsu and energy/touch therapies such as Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu and Touch for Health. She took many individual trainings and workshops and then was educated further at National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, CA 1989-1990. She subsequently studied other healing modalities almost constantly and still continually delights in learning new things. Branching out into numerous Mind/Body/Spirit methods of healing such as Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Holographic/Resonance Repatterning and Shamanic Journey to Wellness, Krystalargo found great joy and passion in helping people (and herself) become more healthy! She has been semi-retired since late 2007.
This organization is in its infancy of development, but the name came to me in 2001 when writing www. Its name is very self explanatory...using feminine energy to heal the woes of the World, as well as healing the injustices that have wreaked havoc on Women since the beginning of Time! The directives of Spirit to Krystalargo were that she must ride or drive only mares on "The Sacred Hoop Journey" because of the emphasis on using the healing aspect of feminine energy to bring a balance and equality to relationships of males to females. AND MORE IMPORTANTLY TO MEND/RIDE THE SACRED HOOP OF ALL PEOPLES AND NATIONS WORLD WIDE.
This Grandmothers visionary event is based on two Native American traditions:
(1) The MEDICINE WHEEL, a circle or hoop, that is divided into four quarters with a line, often called The Red Road, running North to South and a line often called The Black Road running East to West. This Vision entails Grandmothers of five colors that represent the four races and the four cardinal directions and Spirit/ Blended Race (I often think of these as the Rainbow People) in the center of the Medicine Wheel. Black is in the West, White is in the North, Yellow is in the East, Red is in the South and Brown is in the Center. Some of these colors may change according to the Tribe. And some Native American Tribes do not have a belief in this way of looking at Life.
(2) The NATIVE AMERICAN VISION QUEST, which as I know it in its purest form, entails going out on the land (mountain, hill, or most any wild place) alone for four days and nights. Typically the person stays within a very small circle, has no food or water, and is naked except for a blanket for those four days and four nights. A Medicine Man or Medicine Woman keeps a fire burning in a camp and says prayers for the person, or persons doing the Vision Quest. At the end someone goes out and brings each Vision Quester back to the camp. Then there is a big feast to celebrate and sometimes Visions are shared, or not. There are many versions of this ceremony. The Grandmothers 40-Days Vision Quest would be an adaptation of it to accommodate the longer time period and the larger number of people involved. This is one of my personal Visions for Peace.
Actually, I believe that Vision Questing by many names and in many forms has been happening all over the world since the beginning of time with humans. The four day version is a very intense experience! When I did my 40-Days Vision Quest in the desert in 1992, it turned out to be a powerful, magnificent happening and it was INTENSE in capital letters! I wrote a book about it. The title is "Sojourn Of My Soul On Site/Sight: A Solo Vision Quest" with a subtitle of "A Grandmother's 40-Days and 40-Nights In The Utah Desert Canyonlands Alone". This book is available at amazon.com
NOTE: The colors of the directions of the Medicine Wheel can vary according to tribal traditions and geographical locations of the tribes. For example, in Black Elk's famous Vision, Red was in the East and Yellow in the South. I do not know why the colors of my vision are different from Black Elks.
This Grandmothers event for Peace requires considerable land space, considerable number of people supporting the Vision Questers, possibly more than one Grandmother for each direction due to the longer length of time and probably considerable amounts of money! Ideally this event will transpire prior to the beginning of both the California Sacred Hoop Journey estimated Spring/Summer 2019-2020 with its relatively smaller Hoop and the 2020-2026 International Sacred Hoop Journey...United States, Canada and Mexico...with its huge clockwise Hoop beginning on April 1, 2020 or 2021.
AND, YES, I do realize that is April Fools Day. I feel like I am the Fool as in the 0 (zero) card in the Tarot Deck. Here I go just leaping into the unknown adventure with utmost trust in the Universe!
***************
This event is of utmost importance to the completion of MENDING/RIDING THE SACRED HOOP OF ALL NATIONS AND OF ALL PEOPLES. The Flowering Tree transforming from The Withered and Dead Tree into a full Flowering Tree was one of the final pieces of Black Elk's Vision in the book "Black Elk Speaks". Many years ago when my Vision was new, I did not understand the significance of this Tree, but now I understand a lot more. I am, as of July 2018, re-reading this book for the third time. I am discovering a lot of information that I didn't pick up on the other two times. For example, the center of my Sacred Hoop is at Valentine, Nebraska. Please note that this is the center of my Hoop. The center of North America is purported to be in North Dakota, with the three towns of Rugby, Robinson and Center vying for the honors! I chose the center site of the Hoop many years ago as Valentine, Nebraska before I had studied Black Elk so extensively. My father was born and raised in Nebraska. And as I am re- reading the book I learned that Black Elk had connections and spent time in Nebraska. Is this a coincidence? I don't think so! I am exploring the possibility that a tree exists that has several different kinds of fruit tree branches grafted onto it for planting as
The Flowering Tree Ceremony
P.S. I have now discovered that a close friend of mine here in the Napa area is actually from Nebraska, AND he knows how to graft branches onto a tree! Perhaps he can help me create "The Flowering Tree" to be planted at Valentine, Nebraska, and perhaps yet another Nebraska influence on "The Sacred Hoop Journey" comes into play!
P.P.S. AND I have now ALSO discovered that John Neihardt, the author of "Black Elk Speaks", lived some times in Nebraska! He was actually the Poet Laureate of Nebraska. Also, please contact me if you know of anyone that knows how to create such a tree as I am envisioning!
